Human Care Ministry

Human Care committee meets every 3rd Tuesday!

God has a calling for all of us!  There is more to God's ministry than simply coming to worship. When we serve, we build relationships and become the hands and feet of God.

Human Care engages our congregation to put their faith into action by providing opportunities to help those less fortunate in our local and global communities. There is no limit on the number of people who can be involved!

Ronald McDonald House Project

Pull Together Pop Tab Program Little things can make a difference.

You can help support the Ronald House of Durham in North Carolina by collecting the little tabs you pull to open soda, beer, energy drinks, soup, and other aluminum cans.

The funds generated from recycling these aluminum gems help offset the House's expenses.

Look for the donation container on the table at the back of the sanctuary.

Lutheran World Relief

Founded in 1945 by Lutherans in the U.S., Lutheran World Relief is an international aid and development organization that partners with communities to help them develop productive and stable economies, improve resilience in the face of a changing climate, and respond to natural disasters and humanitarian crises.

Education is one of the strongest tools a community has for breaking the cycle of poverty.  Ensuring that girls attend school, especially in places where their access is deprioritized, has even stronger results.

School Kits contain essential supplies to help children – and in some cases, adults- continue learning in the face of serious obstacles.  That learning leads to a better life for them, their families and their communities.  The committee is assembling 24 school kits now to send when completed.
